Screen

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus comes with a 6.0-inch screen. And while there are bigger phones, most of them also cost a lot.
720 x 1480 screen pixel density of 274 pixels per inch. This means that they are appropriately clear, although not sharp. It is also an LCD screen.
It's a decent screen overall and though it's big, Samsung also has a split-screen mode, so you can run two apps side by side, to get the most out of all of that space. In practice, this can be a little cramped, but it's more applicable here than small phones and can be useful.

Of course, whether the big screen is a good thing or not, some people prefer a phone that can be used more easily with one hand. It is definitely a good device for watching videos on it.

Chipset

The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset. That’s a fairly modern chipset but a low-end one and it’s coupled with a basic 2GB of RAM.
The upshot being that performance is fine for navigating the interface, web browsing and using apps (barring potentially slow startup times on some), but won’t cut it for high-end gaming or other demanding tasks.

As with so much else about the Galaxy J4 Plus, that makes it roughly in line with what you should expect for the money but does mean power is one area where it doesn’t really stand out.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus has a single-lens camera, but it is reasonably suitable. It is a 13MP lens with f / 1.9 aperture. This means opening a bigger lens than you'll find on many budget phones, which in turn means that more light can enter, making this a powerful choice for low-light shots.
It has a selection of modes and tools that you can play with, such as the ability to add filters and AR stickers to pictures.

The front camera meanwhile is 5 MP f / 2.2 and has its own flash, so you can light up your selfies. Not so long ago, the front flash was a rarity, but it has become a common feature lately.

Features

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus contains other features that you should know.
It has a fingerprint scanner, giving you a quick way to unlock your phone.
It also supports Dolby Atmos. You can plug a pair of compatible headphones or connect it to a Bluetooth speaker to get the effect, do it and you can enjoy the immersive 3D sound.

Finally, Samsung has also included its own Dual Messenger service, which allows you to set up two separate accounts to choose messaging apps, for example, a separate message space for work and personal communications.

Battery life, memory, and connectivity

There is a 3,300mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus, which is a decent but not huge size, especially when you consider the big screen of this phone.
However, it actually does last really well, perhaps due to the somewhat low resolution of the screen. Whatever the reason, you should be able to easily get a day or more of mixed-use from the phone.

As for memory, you get a 32GB ROM, plus a microSD card slot if you want to add more. Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC.
